It is spread over 1318.54 square kilometers in the Patlidoon valley of Ramganga, which was established in 1936 to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. It also includes the 821.99 square kilometer Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. Jim Corbett played an important role in its establishment, due to which it was named Jim Corbett. It is located near Ramnagar town in Nainital district of Uttarakhand state. It is one of the oldest glorious animal sanctuaries.

1. Bijrani Safari Zone: Bijrani Zone is located at a distance of 1 km from Ramnagar city. It is popular for its beautiful natural scenery and open fields. Bijrani Zone is the best location for a jeep safari from a tourist's point of view.
2. Jhirna Safari Zone: Jhirna Safari Zone is another important tourist area in Jim Corbett National Park. It is located at a distance of 16 km from Ramnagar town. Tigers, elephants, sloth bears, leopards, deer, monkeys, and a variety of birds can be seen in Jhirna Safari Zone.
3. Dhela Safari Zone: Dhela Safari Zone is located at a distance of 13 km from Ramnagar city. Dhela is a new eco-tourism zone in Corbett National Park which was included in the Tiger Reserve Zone. Dhela Zone attracts a large number of tourists due to its rich biodiversity and being open all year round.
4. Dhikala Zone: The Dhikala area is the largest jungle safari area of Jim Corbett which is famous for its exotic fauna including abundant natural beauty and many wild animals like tigers, elephants, various species of deer, wild pigs, etc. The entrance to this zone is located at a distance of 18 km from Ramnagar town.
5. Durga Devi Zone: Durga Devi Zone is located on the north-eastern border of Jim Corbett National Park. It is located at a distance of about 36 km from Ramnagar city. Durga Devi Zone is famous for birds. Many species of birds are found here.
6. Sitabani Buffer Zone: Sitabani is the last zone of Jim Corbett National Park which does not fall under the Tiger Reserve area. Sitabani zone is famous for its natural beauty, if you are fond of nature then you must visit here.

The best months to visit Jim Corbett National Park are December to March. During these months, the temperature remains around 5 degrees Celsius. The chances of seeing wildlife and the Royal Bengal Tiger are highest during these winter months.

Ramnagar is the nearest place to reach Jim Corbett National Park. This city is well connected to major cities of India like Delhi, Moradabad, Nainital, and Bareilly by rail and road. Corbett National Park is located 15 km from Ramnagar where you can reach in half an hour via taxi.
By Road: Ramnagar city is well connected to other cities of India by road. You can also reach here easily through bus or your own vehicle. Corbett National Park is located at a distance of about 260 km from Delhi.
By Rail: Ramnagar is well connected to other major cities of India by rail. Jim Corbett National Park is located at a distance of about 1 km from Ramnagar Railway Station. You can easily reach there by taxi, e-rickshaw, or on foot.
