1. India Gate
India Gate is a massive 43-meter-high structure located on the main road in New Delhi. It was built in 1931 in memory of the freedom fighter. It is the national monument of independent India, formerly known as Kingsway. It was designed by Sir Balen Shah. This monument is inspired by the Arc de Triomphe of Paris.
2. Akshardham
Akshardham Temple is a unique Indian cultural pilgrimage site. This temple was built in the holy memory of Swaminarayan. This temple is spread over 100 acres of land. In this temple we get to see ten gates which symbolize the ten directions, they reflect the Vedic wishes. In this temple, we also see Bhakti Dwar where 208 forms of devotion and worship are decorated. 869 peacocks are shown dancing on the Kalamandit pillars of the Mayur Gate of this temple.
3. Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar, located in the Mehrauli section of South Delhi city in India, is the world's tallest minaret made of brick. It is a famous tourist destination in Delhi. Its span is 73 meters and its diameter is 14.3 meters, with a height of 2.75 meters. This complex has been approved by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
4. Red Fort
Red Fort is in the historic 123, fortified area of Old Delhi. This fort was constructed from red sandstone between 1638 and 1648, hence it was named Red Fort. The main objective of building this fort was to make Delhi the national capital. This historical fort was selected as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007.
5. Rashtrapati Bhavan
Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the President of the Government of India. It is a four-story building with a total of 340 rooms. It is a huge building spread over 330 acres which can take up to 3 hours to explore on foot. It is in the central part of Delhi or the heart of Delhi.
6. Hauz Khas
Hauz Khas village was known for its amazing buildings built around a reservoir in the medieval period. Hauz Khas is a Persian word meaning 'Hauz': "water tank" (or lake) and 'Khas': "royal" (royal lake). The first large water tank or reservoir was constructed by Alauddin Khilji to supply water to the residents of Siri. This is an area situated in South Delhi which also has a metro station in its name.
7. Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple is a Bahá'à temple of worship located in Nehru Place, Delhi, the capital of India. We do not see any kind of idol or religious ritual in this temple. Various sacred texts related to different religions are recited in this temple. About eight to ten thousand tourists visit the Lotus Temple every day. The shape of this temple is made like a lotus flower, due to which it has been named Lotus Temple. In the Hindu religion, this flower is considered a symbol of purity and peace. This temple was inaugurated on 24 December 1986 but this temple was opened to the public on 1 January 1987.
9. Lodhi Garden
Lodhi Garden is a beautiful garden built in the south-central area of Delhi city. It is situated on Lodhi Marg, Delhi. During the British period, the name of this garden was Lady Willington Park. There are tombs of the Lodi dynasty built in the middle of the garden here and fountains, ponds, flowers, and jogging tracks are also built in the garden. The garden was originally a village surrounded by monuments of the Sayyid and Lodi dynasties of the 15th-16th centuries.
10. Garden of Five Senses
The garden named Garden of Five Senses is located near Saidulajab village in the southern region of Delhi. It falls between Mehrauli and Saket. This park has been developed by Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation. Built on 20 acres near the village near an ancient archaeological heritage complex of Delhi, this garden contains more than 25 clay and rock sculptures among more than 200 types of exotic and fragrant plants. The calm, silent, and charming complex of this garden, built for the satisfaction of form, color, smell, sound, and taste, is very popular among lovers.
11. Chandni Chowk
Chandni Chowk, situated in the center of Old Delhi, is famous for shopping and markets. Different types of things are bought here like: This market is full of shops selling spices, dry fruits, jewelry and many types of sarees. Many shops selling oil, stationery, and Indian sweets can be seen along the street. In front of it is the Red Fort built during the Mughal period, where we also get to see a historical museum.
12. Dilli Haat
Dilli Haat is a paid entrance open market, food plaza, and crafts market located in Delhi. The area is run by the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC), and unlike the traditional weekly market, the village haat, Dilli Haat is permanent. It is located in the commercial centers of South Delhi, opposite INA Bazaar. This is a market spread over 6 acres.
13. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib
Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is one of the most important Gurudwaras of Delhi. This is one of the most popular tourist places in Delhi. It is immediately recognizable by its gold-plated dome peak. This Gurudwara was originally a bungalow, which belonged to Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur. It is located on Baba Kharag Singh Road, New Delhi, near Gol Market, New Delhi.
14. Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India located in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, which is situated just 500 meters away from the Red Fort. It was constructed by Shahjahan in 1656. This mosque is made of red stones and marble. It took 6 years and Rs 10 lakh to build it.
15. Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory located in Delhi. Jantar Mantar means "Instrument to measure the goodwill of the sky". It was constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the year 1724. This building is an example of the scientific advancement of ancient India. Jai Singh had also built such observatories in four states of India, Jaipur, Ujjain, Mathura, and Varanasi.
16. Atlantic Water Park
Atlantic Water World in Kalindi Kunj Park in the Okhla area of Delhi, India opened to the public in 2014. This is a water park where different types of rides are present like water coaster, lazy river, wave pool, etc. It is manufactured by Dutch Wheels BV.
