National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy is located in the Pragati Maidan complex on Bhairon Marg opposite Purana Qila in New Delhi. The National Crafts Museum was inaugurated by the President of India Ramaswamy Venkataraman on 21 December 1991. The National Crafts Museum of Delhi is counted among the major tourist destinations of the world.
