National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy is located in the Pragati Maidan complex on Bhairon Marg opposite Purana Qila in New Delhi. This craft museum in Delhi is one of the major tourist places in Delhi. This museum has been built in an area of 8 acres. The National Crafts Museum was inaugurated by the President of India Ramaswamy Venkataraman on 21 December 1991. The National Crafts Museum of Delhi is counted among the major tourist destinations of the world. Millions of tourists from all over the world come here to see the traditional crafts and arts of India.
India's continuous and vibrant handicrafts and handloom traditions are displayed in this museum. In this museum, the cultural glimpse of different states of the country is shown. There are five permanent exhibition galleries and one special gallery. There is a special gallery in which programs are presented from time to time.
